A MAN stole a handbag containing an iPhone and cash from a parked car and then repeatedly used bank cards from the bag.

On Saturday, September 2, shortly before 10am, a man leant in through an open car window parked in Herbert Avenue, Poole, and stole a handbag and all its belongings.

The man then went on to use the victim’s bank cards in various places.

The handbag also included an iPhone, cash, camera, a pair of glasses, and a bus pass.

Police officers investigating the theft have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police crime support investigator Adam Cleaver, of Poole police, said: “This incident has caused a lot of distress for the victim due to the sentimental value of some of the items taken.

“After making enquiries, I have now obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
