MYSTERY surrounds the sudden closure of a buffet restaurant at a Poole leisure complex.
Day’s buffet in Tower Park, Yarrow Road, closed unexpectedly earlier this month.
A sign attached to the door says “restaurant close”, with the lights inside all switched off and doors locked.
Several people have got in touch with the Echo asking why it has suddenly closed.
The website for Day’s says: “With authentic cuisines of varied countries from professional chefs and nutritionists, equipped with a modern, vibrant, and pleasing dining environment, Day’s makes himself an ideal place for all sorts of gastronomes and those who wish to have a truly quality meal time.
“Day’s restaurant delivers top-notch customer experience by serving a wide range of finest cuisines and first-class services.
“A gastronomic journey through a variety of cultures is at your fingertips from the moment you walk through our doors.
“Pushing the excitement limit of senses further by detail-oriented creation for every single dish, a unique dine experience is guaranteed, at Day’s.”
The restaurant, which had scored a one-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency before being upgraded to four, is not the first buffet restaurant to suddenly close at Tower Park.
Georgie Porgie’s Buffet World closed for a refurbishment in late 2013 but never reopened.
