A FLAT in Bournemouth town centre in need of some improvements has sold for just five figures.
Flat 25 of Hampshire Court in Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, was sold at a recent auction for just £56,000.
Boasting a balcony overlooking the central gardens, the second-floor flat was among 180 lots listed across southern England and south Wales by Clive Emson Auctioneers.
Mike Marchant, a senior auction appraiser with Clive Emson Auctioneers, said: “We anticipated keen interest in this flat, which is on a 99-year lease dating from 1979, and a buyer came in with a final bid of £56,000, which was £5,000 above guide price.”
Should they choose to live in the flat, the news owners will have easy access to a tapas restaurant and Moose Kitchen below along with a Tesco Express.
The next auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers, the seventh of eight this year, ends on November 1, with live bidding starting 48 hours before. Lot entries close on October 9.
