A MURDER investigation has continued in the Boscombe area after partial human remains were found in the town at the end of August.
Dorset Police received a report at 1.10pm on Saturday, August 26, following a discovery by a member of the public in the area of the Manor Steps Zig Zag, off Boscombe Overcliff Drive.
Since then various different areas of Boscombe have been cordoned off as the police made their investigations and it has seen two people arrested so far.
Here's all the information that is known so far about the murder investigation.
What has happened with the Boscombe murder probe?
Following the discovery of the remains on August 26 the victim was identified almost a week later as a 49-year-old man from Bournemouth after much scientific analysis.
A cordon was initially placed on the whole of the Manor Steps Zig Zag as well as Boscombe Cliff Gardens as Dorset Police conducted searches.
Since then cordons have been placed around the derelict Mon Bijou hotel in Manor Road, Bournemouth and in Aylesbury Road, Boscombe.
Forensic teams have been carrying out enquiries in relation to the murder investigation on both sites.
A specialist search team was seen at the abandoned hotel in manor Road along with sniffer dogs scouring the area.
Both cordons remain in place, but the large cordon off Boscombe Overcliff Drive was taken down last Friday.
