A STRIP club in Bournemouth town centre could be introducing ladies’ nights to broaden its ‘male-dominated’ clientele.

Temptation Strip Club in Yelverton Road has refurbished its third floor as part of plans to ‘expand its services’.

Described as a “club within a club”, the third floor features a pole dancing stage, a bar and stylish seating areas, all under dimly lit lights.

TV screens have also been fitted to show the company’s logo throughout the room.

Nas Mal, who manages the venue alongside others, said he has plans to use the new space for private functions and hen-dos in a move away from the 'typical strip club offerings'.

He told the Daily Echo: “Our clientele is predominantly male, but we want to bring in a mix of genders and broaden our horizons.

“We want to do ladies' nights. We’ve done them at other venues, and they’ve been highly successful.

“We’re in discussions about them, and so it’s just a case of when we can make it happen.”

Temptation, trading as Admiral Bars (Hampshire) Ltd, took over the premises from Spearmint Rhino in October 2021.

At the time, the company sought permission to renew the sexual entertainment venue licence and vary the layout of its second floor.

Now, it has submitted a minor variation licensing application to use the third floor – an area not used by the previous occupant.

The application seeks to modify “the layout and seating arrangements”. It is understood the other floors already in use will remain unchanged.

Nas said: “The third-floor room was always there but it was just never used – I don’t know why Spearmint Rhino never used it.

“We wanted to take advantage of the space we had so we have fully refurbished it.

“It’s a great space. It’s a club inside a club.”

The licensing application, which is yet to be determined, is open for public consultation until August 16.
