GOOD views, quality food, a relaxed feel and costs that won’t break the bank.

This is what the newest restaurant in Bournemouth town centre is offering its customers.

Starting with a soft opening at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Elevate Brasserie and Bar serves a tailored menu befitting the seaside view from the tables.

The new restaurant, which has an official opening next month, has alfresco dining under umbrellas.

In total, around 150 guests can eat at the restaurant and choose from an impressive array of food that wouldn’t be out of place at a high-end restaurant.

Small plates, including smoked duck breast with yuzu pearls or harissa lamb bon bon, open sandwiches filled with the likes of crab or jackfruit, charcuterie and 'seacuterie' as well as traditional dishes like burgers and pizzas are all on the menu.

The only difference here is the price: a good quality burger could cost just over £12, all open sandwiches cost £12.50 or less and small dishes are less than £9 each.

Bosses at the new restaurant, operated by charity BH Live in the former Terrace café, hope their new project will provide customers with a relaxed experience.

Mathijs Pol, BH Live’s group hospitality manager who led the development and creation of Elevate Brasserie and Bar with his team, told the Echo: “Everything has changed since the former terrace café.

“We have rebuilt our finances, spent a lot of money on the refurbishment here all from BH Live’s money.

“The whole idea is we can open it up as an entity seven days a week and it is going to be a really nice brasserie and bar with a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

“Not just for the tourism but also for the local tradespeople and for everybody to come here and have a lovely lunch or dinner over a drink and enjoy the views.

“We are all-weather under the umbrellas outside with built-in heaters and lights so whether it rains or shines you can always enjoy those fantastic views.

Elevate also makes a point of keeping its food as locally sourced as possible.

Mathijs added: “It’s all about seasonal, we’re next to the sea, we want to show our customers what great produce we have here in Dorset.”

BH Live’s Elevate is open seven days a week until 10pm.
