Bournemouth jobs on offer as UK unemployment rate goes up

The rate of unemployment rose to 4 per cent in the three months to May, according to figures from the ONS (Office for National Statistics), up from 3.8 per cent in the previous three months.

Meanwhile, average regular wages, not including bonuses, were 7.3 per cent higher in the three months to May.

This was the same as during the previous three months and the joint highest since records began in 2001, ITV News reports.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said there were around one million job vacancies which are causing inflation to be pushed up even further.

Bournemouth job vacancies 

BCP Council

At the time of writing, there are 108 jobs being advertised on the BCP Council website.

These roles include Learning Support Manager, Mental Health Recovery Coach, Corporate Director of Wellbeing and Programme Manager.

Overall, there is a wide range of roles for a variety of different skill sets and experience levels, including some apprenticeships being available.

Bournemouth Airport

At the time of writing, there are seven different types of role that are being advertised on the Bournemouth Airport website.

These range from aviation security officers, to cargo warehouse agents to ramp agents.

The roles are a mixture of permanent and fixed-term opportunities, with some offering 30 hours per week.

Bournemouth University

At the time of writing, there are several jobs being advertised on the Bournemouth University website.

These are mainly in academic roles, such as lecturers and heads of departments, or various professional/support staff roles.

Dorset Healthcare

At the time of writing, there are a fair few job vacancies being offered on the Dorset Healthcare website.

Whilst they are advertising jobs across the county, there are a number that are Bournemouth or BCP-specific.

These include jobs in nursing, midwifery, support services and administrative services among others.

The roles are a mixture of full-time and part-time ones.

Alongside all of these employers that continually advertise around the Bournemouth area include Asda, Whitbread, Colten Care and Tesco.
