A BOY was told he could not return to a town after he reportedly shot at and injured another boy. 

A 14-year-old boy was left with minor injuries to his hand and arm on the afternoon of Friday, July 7 after a 13-year-old boy reportedly shot a weapon at him. 

Police attended the incident close to the Tesco in Stour Park, Blandford, after receiving reports of an air weapon being fired. 

A search was carried out of the area, an air weapon was found and seized and the 13-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray.

He was later de-arrested but issued with a section 35 dispersal order, meaning he would not be allowed to return to Blandford for the following 14 hours. 

A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 2.39pm on Friday 7 July 2023 to reports that a teenage boy had been shot with an air weapon near to the Tesco store in Stour Park, Blandford.  

“The boy, aged 14, sustained minor injuries to his hand and arm. 

“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area. 

“A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray. An air weapon was located and seized.  

“Following enquiries, the boy was subsequently de-arrested and issued with a Section 35 dispersal order not to attend Blandford within the following 14 hours. 

“Officers from the local neighbourhood team have been made aware of the incident and will be continuing with their visible patrols in that area.”
