A CHILD has died following a medical incident in Bournemouth.

Police were called to Burnaby Road in Alum Chine by the ambulance service at 12.18pm on Monday, June 26.

Officers attended and the child was taken to hospital for treatment where they later died.

Police said the child’s family is aware and the coroner has been notified.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “While there is nothing to indicate any suspicious circumstances at this time, as with all sudden deaths involving children officers will be conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the death.

“Our thoughts are with the child’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”

Earlier today, witnesses reported seeing multiple emergency services in the area.
