POLICE pulled over a Jaguar last night following reports of suspicious activity.

Officers stopped the Jaguar XF in Deansleigh Road where they searched three men.

Inside the vehicle, which had earlier been in Castle Lane East, they found nitrous oxide and what is believed to be cannabis during the incident shortly before midnight.

One of the men, a 21-year-old from the West Midlands area, was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Meanwhile, the vehicle has been seized by police for being uninsured.

Police Sergeant Gareth Thomas, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are committed to ensuring the safety of all road users and will target anyone who is suspected of driving while under the influence of either drink or drugs.

“We really appreciate information from the public and would encourage everyone to please report to Dorset Police anyone who is believed to not be driving in accordance with the law.”
