“Officers have attended and are liaising with the local authority.”
It comes after a group of 16 caravans turned up at Bernards Mead on Sunday, May 21.
Police and BCP Council were called and met the group to "carry out the statutory welfare and educational needs assessment."
The council recently placed large soil banks at the entrance of Creekmoor park and ride in Poole to prevent travellers from gaining unauthorised access.
Ringwood Town Council used the same method at Poulner Lakes which had seen multiple camps set up at the beauty spot over the years.
