A DRUG dealer has been put behind bars for more than two years after admitting to supplying cannabis between London and Bournemouth

Steven Zehi, of Hornsey in London, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Tuesday, June 6 where he admitted to being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.

The 25-year-old was arrested following a warrant executed at his home address on July 7, 2022.

The warrant was the culmination of a joint investigation by Dorset Police and Metropolitan Police into a county lines drugs network operating between London and the Bournemouth area.

Zehi’s phone was seized and evidence was found to indicate he was involved in the supply of illegal drugs, although he later claimed in court that the supply only related to the class B drug cannabis.

He was sentenced to 27 months in prison.

Sergeant Cameron Thompson, of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET), said: “Through Operation Viper, Dorset Police has been working with our colleagues in other forces regionally and nationally to identify those involved in the supply of drugs in our communities so we can take robust action against them.

“We are committed to disrupting the activities of those involved in county lines drug networks and stopping the flow of illegal drugs into our county.”
