A SPECIALIST school in Blandford Forum is celebrating the outcome of its first Ofsted inspection.
Luccombe Hub, which provides education for 8-18 year olds with SEND needs, was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
A report published by inspectors described the centre as a ‘safe space’ for everyone.
It reads: “Parents and carers are extremely happy with the support their children receive.
“They described the school as being ‘an incredibly caring and nurturing environment’.
“Parents say their children's improved mental health and wellbeing positively impacts their family life.
“The leaders have high expectations for pupils’ behaviour and personal development and are consistent in their approach to behaviour with a ‘zero tolerance’ on bullying.”
Henri Monier-Williams, principal of Luccombe Hub, said she “proud” of school’s senior leadership team, staff, governors, and the ‘Friends of Luccombe Hub’ for their “loyalty and support”.
