TEMPERATURES are expected to be higher than Barcelona this weekend, meaning many of us will be flocking to the beach or spending as much time outdoors as possible.

And while we are all outside enjoying ourselves, some of us may be looking for that extra bit of fun and, dare I say, cheesy spice?

Here are five things you could do this weekend to get the most out of the sun:

Chilli and Cheese Festival

Back for a ninth year following a successful 2022, the Chilli and Cheese Festival in Hurn next to Bournemouth Airport returns for both Saturday and Sunday.

From 10am to 5pm each day, thousands will be search for a gouda time with nearly a hundred stalls selling delicious food

Magic of Thailand Festival

A two-day festival celebrating all that is great about the Asian country of Thailand will be taking place this weekend at Harbourside Park in Poole

Thai massages will be given out, Thai food, Muay Thai boxing will be on show and, yes, a ladyboy show.

Indian shopping hub

For those wanting to continue a bit of spice, the Indo UK family shopping fair will be going ahead on Saturday from 10am to 4pm at Suncliff Hotel in Bournemouth.

Celebrating Indian lifestyle and culture, the hub event will have clothes stalls join others for accessories, hennas, wellness handicrafts and, yes, Indian food.

Motor show family fun day

Thousands are expected to visit Lulworth Castle on Sunday from 11am to see a prestigious motor show put on by the Dorset Blind Association.

The showground will offer a variety of artisan stalls selling local produce and handmade goods, food and drinks. There will be live entertainment and a kid's area with activities and money will be raised for charity.

Spandau Ballet star

Pop star Martin kemp will be DJ’ing at what is described as “the biggest 80's night to ever hit the town” at the O2 Academy in Boscombe on Saturday night.

Tickets on Seetickets.com cost £26 for a night of 80s nostalgia.
