FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a gorse fire in an area of Poole heathland.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Bourne Valley Park at 5.51pm on Monday for a fire affecting approximately 25m x 25m of gorse.
Crews from Poole and Westbourne fire station were in attendance, together with a small 4x4 appliance and a water carrier from Poole.
Three hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire, and the stop came at 6.35pm.
All crews had left the scene by 7pm, with one crew from Westbourne returning later in the evening to carry out a reinspection.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
