Bournemouth is a place with a great selection of pubs to choose from, and with several bank holidays coming up in May, you may want to seek some out for the extended weekends.

Hopefully, the weather will also be a bit sunnier as the summer emerges so you may want to sit outside and take it all in with your pint.

If you wanted to find some of the best pubs with a beer garden in the Bournemouth area, we've broken down some of the highest rated according to Tripadvisor reviewers.

One reviewer wrote: "The establishment has a very pleasant, friendly atmosphere and, although busy, it was not crowded. I could not understand why because it is marvellous. It should be heaving. I suppose it isn't sufficiently down market for a lot of people. The music is not so loud that you cannot converse.

"There is a good range of local beers and cider plus plenty of interesting bottled beers. It also has a very pleasant beer garden, which is popular when the weather permits."
