PADDLE boarders set off from Mudeford Quay with hopes of catching a glimpse of the full moon.
More than 100 people joined in with the Full Moon Sunset Paddle which took place on Thursday, April 6.
The event was organised by Suzanne Patterson - a member of the Real Dorset Stand up Paddle (SUP) Community.
The Christchurch resident led the paddle boarders on a route from Mudeford Quay up to Stanpit Marsh, hoping to catch a stunning sunset and a view of the full moon.
Suzanne said: “It was brilliant. We didn’t see much of the moon because unfortunately at the time we were out it was really cloudy, but the sunset was beautiful as always down there."
The paddle event, which has been hosted twice before, attracted 107 people of different ages and abilities.
Suzanne added: "We were quite surprised we had that many turn up because it was quite cold, and quite windy.
"The last one we did in August we had 284 people but that was when we were having that heat wave.”
Suzanne is due to host another full moon paddle on May 5.
