A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for parts of Dorset.
The Met Office has issued a warning for strong winds from Thursday evening.
The alert will be in place from 9pm on Thursday until midday on Friday.
The forecaster has predicted gusts of winds of up to 44mph overnight.
People have been warned of potential delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, and bus and train services.
