A SCHOOL in Bournemouth went into lockdown following an incident of “aggravated trespassing”.
The Bishop of Winchester Academy exercised lockdown procedures on Wednesday afternoon, March 22, after two people arrived on site and then refused to leave.
In a message posted on the academy’s website, the visitors were described as “students from another school”.
It added that “at no point” were the students at risk, and the lockdown procedures were a “precautionary measure”.
The police were called to the school at around 1.32pm for the incident.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers attended and the two people – who have links to the school – were arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespassing.
"They were escorted from the premises and subsequently de-arrested. There was no threat made to anyone at the school.
"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
