THERE is not much can be said about Jeremy Hunt’s Budget, other than I am saddened he is now such an misleading Conservative.
He mentioned a list of priorities starting with the letter ‘E’. What about empty shelves? We know shops are struggling to keep those full.
And eating – where was the help to produce more food here in the UK.
He says we are lucky as the forecast is that we are likely to avoid going into recession. Well, let us see by end of this year or next.
We still have strikes and some smaller banks in trouble.
I noted he said nothing about those Freeports, only that certain areas can seek funding to create investment zones.
However, nothing about who would be those investors.
He talks of freedom by the Brexit result. We are far worse off now.
Yes, I am a remoaner. That does not necessarily make me wrong. Again, we will see how it all turns out.
Having had Boris Johnson put us on the Russian hit list – we have this prime minister siding with the US to create more ill feeling towards China.
No wonder our defence spending has to go up. And yet, if anyone wants to create havoc, we know all they have to do is bring down the internet. And attack nuclear power stations.
Putin has done that in the Ukraine.
When Jeremy Corbyn was asked would he ‘press the button’ he, sensibly gave the impression, not if it can be avoided.
Whereas the likes of Trump, Boris, Farage and co, would be only too pleased to destroy our world.
There you go that was my rant.
