A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill two teenage girls in a park. 

Three teenage boys approached two teenage girls in Park Road Recreation Ground, in Blandford, at approximately 3.45pm on Friday, March 10. 

It is alleged one of the boys made threats to the girls while in possession of a knife before the boys left the scene, with no injuries reported during the incident. 

A 13-year-old Blandford boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade in a public place, making threats to kill and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence.  

He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue. 

The arrested boy and the girls are known to each other and police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward. 

Police Constable Jake Evans, of Dorset Police, said: “I understand there may have been several people in the location at the time who may have witnessed what happened. 

“I would ask these people to please come forward as you may have vital information to assist my enquiries.”
