A CASUALTY with head and neck injuries was removed from their home via a balcony by emergency services in Poole on Sunday afternoon, March 12.
Fire crews from Poole and Westbourne attended the incident in Labrador Drive in the Baiter Park area after they were asked to assist the ambulance service.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at 1.43pm.
A specialist technical rescue crew from Poole was in attendance along with the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne fire station.
The fire service said crews assisted ambulance personnel in bringing a casualty with head and neck injuries to safety in order to convey them to hospital.
Fire crews left the scene at 2.45pm.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12:14hrs on Sunday 12 March to an incident in Poole.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
