A BUSY residential road in Poole has reopened on time following nearly four weeks of resurfacing works.
Works began on Yarmouth Road on Monday, February 13, and was completed on schedule on Thursday, March 9, despite a days delay early on in the works.
The road underwent a phased resurfacing, between Bourne Valley Roundabout and Alder Road.
The first phase of the work was delayed by a day, being completed on Monday, February 20, after soft spots were found in the “road sub-base” which needed to be repaired.
An additional day of work was added to the second phase of works on Saturday, February 25, to make up the time lost by the delay.
Following this, the second phase was completed on time on Friday, March 3, and the final phase of work, between the junction with Guest Avenue and Alder Road, was carried out to plan between Monday, March 6 and Thursday, March 9.
