A MAN has been arrested after a fatal crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Bournemouth last month.
Police were called to a crash in Castle Lane West at around 6.30pm on Saturday, February 11 involving a Volkswagen Polo and a black Honda motorcycle.
The passenger of the motorcycle, Bournemouth woman Helen Cooper, aged 46, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. The female driver of the car was uninjured.
Following enquiries by officers, a 40-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and he has been released on police bail.
Sergeant Mark Burton, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the woman who sadly died in this collision.
“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened are ongoing and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us if they have not already spoken to police.”
