ROADWORKS in Somerford Road in Christchurch are causing delays for motorists.
BCP Council are carrying out works to reset a storm drain cover, and then resurface the surrounding area.
Temporary traffic lights are in place near the junction of Airfield Way while the works are completed.
The local authority said they should be finished by 3pm this afternoon.
One motorist contacted the Daily Echo to say the temporary lights had been changing too quickly to allow traffic to flow.
He said: “It’s all atrocious. The road is absolutely clogged up. There must be about 200 cars stuck there. I turned around because it was hopeless.”
