A TEENAGER has been arrested after a BMW crashed and burst into flames in West Moors.
Officers and the fire brigade were called to a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Heathfield Road and Pinehurst Road in West Moors shortly after 9pm on Tuesday, March 7.
A BMW 1 Series was “well alight” after it was involved in a crash with a van and a 19-year-old man from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.
One witness said the area is being “used and abused by local racers, unchecked and unchallenged” and that the driver is “lucky to be alive”.
He added: “The local council needs to do something about this as local residents are at risk, especially the young children and parents at the middle school less than 200 yards from the crash site.”
