A TEENAGER has been arrested after a BMW crashed and burst into flames in West Moors.

Officers and the fire brigade were called to a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Heathfield Road and Pinehurst Road in West Moors shortly after 9pm on Tuesday, March 7.

A BMW 1 Series was “well alight” after it was involved in a crash with a van and a 19-year-old man from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.

One witness said the area is being “used and abused by local racers, unchecked and unchallenged” and that the driver is “lucky to be alive”.
