A BUSINESS dedicated to making man’s best friend look good- The Paw Print Boutique is Trader of the Week.

Located inside the Bobby’s department store in Bournemouth, The Paw Print Boutique is the number one stop for dog clothing and accessories.

The business is the brainchild of 28-year-old Ruby Court and is inspired by her own French bulldog called Pablo, who she got during the first Covid lockdown.

Ruby said: “I’d always wanted a puppy. Covid was the perfect time to get one because I was off for a year.

"Me and my partner decided to get a little French Bulldog Puppy called Pablo. I set him up with an Instagram page to keep me busy, so I used to buy him cute stuff and dress him up.

“I just thought, I’d love to make something more with this- I love dogs and I wanted to start my own little business.

“So, I started bringing out bow ties, and the collection went from there.”

Now, The Paw Print Boutique is an established business boasting a huge product range of dog harnesses, leads, collars, hoodies, blankets, bow ties, bandanas, towels and even poo bag holders.

Ruby has also brought out a popular breed collection, featuring themed products for dachshunds, pugs, bulldogs, labradors, spaniels and much more.

She said: “I wanted to bring out a range so that every owner had something with their dog’s face on. I felt there was a bit of a gap in the market for that."

While Ruby continues to trade online, she has also now opened her very own shop inside Bobby’s department store.

The Paw Print Boutique store not only showcases an ever-growing product range, but also has a doggy ball pit, pupuccino station and lots of Instagramable selfie spots.

Speaking on what the business means to her, Ruby said: “I used to think to myself, ‘I never want to go back to work, I never want to leave Pablo again and I don’t want to go back to a job that I’m not passionate about’.

“I never lived to work, I always worked to live, but not I can finally say I live to work.”
