A CELEBRATION of the King’s coronation is being hosted in Wimborne.
Residents are being invited to an event in the town on Sunday, May 7, to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
The coronation concert will be streamed across big screens in Wimborne Square, and tables will be set up for people to enjoy the Big Lunch.
There will also be children’s entertainment, live music, trader stalls and a fair, continuing between 11am and 7pm.
It is one of many coronation celebrations being held over the three-day bank holiday weekend from Saturday, May 6 to Monday, May 8.
The coronation will be taking place on the morning of Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey, and on Sunday, May 7, coronation Big Lunches will bring communities together with a special coronation concert at Windsor Castle.
On May 8, there will be reflection on the legacy of His Majesty’s service.
