A new driver risks having their licence revoked after being caught driving on Barton cliff top last week.
Lymington and New Milton Police posted an update about their calls and incidents recently, describing the incident at Barton last week.
The team, in a post on Friday, said: "On our late night patrols last week, PS Wood and PC Jelly came across 4 teenagers in a car in the early hours of the morning, which was being driven on the cliff top at Barton.
"The driver, who had only been driving for just over 5 months, was issued a ticket carrying a £100 fine and 3 points, and if he receives another 3 points in the remaining months of his first two years of driving, he will have his licence revoked.
"The driver was also given some firm words of advice regarding his responsibilities being a driver and where he can drive."
The picture posted by the team, shows a red car parked on the grass, with muddy wheel marks carved into the turf.
The police team will host an informal get-together for local business owners on Friday January 27 at midday to discuss issues affecting the business community in the town.
This will be held at the New Milton town hall and is free entry.
