JURORS continued their deliberations today in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Bournemouth DJ.

Lawangeen Abdulrahimzai, 21, is charged with the murder 21-year-old Tom Roberts outside Subway in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.

The defendant, of Hill Street, Poole, is on trial at Salisbury Crown Court.

The court has heard Abdulrahimzai got into an altercation over an e-scooter with Mr Roberts and his friend James Medway in the early hours of March 12 last year.

Abdulrahimzai stabbed the complainant in the chest and abdomen. Mr Roberts was taken to hospital but died from the injuries he sustained.

The 12-person jury began their deliberations on Thursday shortly after 11.30am.

They continued their deliberations on Friday before being sent home for the weekend by Judge Paul Dugdale. The jury is expected to reconvene at court on Monday morning.

Abdulrahimzai denies murder. He has admitted manslaughter. The trial continues.
