COMMUTERS travelling between Weymouth and Bournemouth have been warned to expect disruption as a result of a fallen tree.
South Western Railway received reports of a tree blocking all lines at Moreton shortly before 7.50am this morning.
Specialist engineers arrived on-site and managed to move the tree from the line at around 9am but the rail company warned services could still be cancelled, delayed or revised until midday.
A spokesperson for SWR said: “Following a tree blocking the railway at Moreton all lines have now reopened.
"Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
“Disruption is expected until 12:00.
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
Commuters whose journey was delayed by 15 minutes or more may be entitled to compensation through the Delay Repay scheme.
