Bournemouth has been named among the top three cheating hotspots in the UK, according to the married dating site Ashley Madison.
This was based on the number of sign-ups to Ashley Madison between October 1, 2021, and February 28, 2022, on a per capita basis using ONS and National Records of Scotland population statistics.
Bournemouth placed third on the list, with only Exeter and Salford above them in first and second respectively.
Cities such as Manchester, Newcastle, Brighton and Southampton all placed on the top 20 cheating hotspots list.

Christoph Kraemer, Managing Director Europe for Ashley Madison said: “People are starting to see non-monogamy as something to seriously consider rather than something taboo and unrealistic.
“Whether they’re doing it with their partner or alone, out in the open or in secret, many Brits are putting monogamy behind them this season and embracing the numerous possibilities that lie ahead.
"This shift in perception is also highlighted perhaps in the fact that Bournemouth makes it to third place on the list this year, well above the sprawling metropolises of Manchester and our neighbours Southampton, which are more traditionally known for an outgoing sexuality.”
