CARS in an area of Hampshire have been spray painted on earlier this week in a spate of criminal damage which happened overnight. 

Lymington and New Milton Cops are investigating after receiving reports of criminal damage to cars as well as fences in Holes Lane, New Milton and the surrounding areas. 

It is reported spray paint was used on the cars and fences overnight between January 3 and 4. 

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabularyt said: We are appealing for witnesses after reports of criminal damage in Hordle. 

“It was reported that overnight between 3 January and 4 January, spray paint was used to damage cars and fences on Holes Lane and the surrounding roads. 

“If you have any information, CCTV, or ring doorbell footage that may assist our investigation please contact us on 101 with reference 44230003964.  

“Alternatively, you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.” 

This is not the first time in recent months spray paint was used by criminals.  

In November, a 79-year-old woman was in “disbelief” after somebody had painted the word “sym” on the door of her Fiat.
