A BUSY road connecting Poole and Bournemouth closed again this morning and it is not known when it will reopen.
Wallisdown Road has closed to allow for work on a new and wide cycle lane to continue – weeks after it was supposed to be finished.
Since early October, Wallisdown Road in Poole going westbound has been closed to allow for workmen to build a cycle lane as part of BCP Council’s ‘improvements’.
Work halted during the Christmas break and it has restarted today on Tuesday, January 3.

BCP Council remain unclear when it will reopen, saying it is “weather dependent”.
A spokeswoman for the council said: “As we’ve mentioned before these works are weather dependent.
“It was originally envisioned to be complete by the start of January, but a few more weeks are needed on top due to the recent weather conditions.
“We’ll be issuing updates to residents living in the area and aim to complete the works as soon as possible.”
Motorists have been left increasingly frustrated at the ‘improvements’ as traffic has built up eastbound and on the diversion route through Turbary Park Avenue.
Morebus has also reported “severe delays” in the area caused by the work.
