POLICE attempting to crackdown on the anti-social use of mini motos, quad bikes and scramblers around Poole have explained what happens to the vehicles they sieze.

Officers continue to carry out patrols on heathland areas and other known hotspots to tackle the “persistent issue”.

Poole Police are working with BCP Council’s housing team, Sovereign Housing Association and others to address the problem.

Officers said that powered vehicles being ridden illegally, in a careless or anti-social manner, may be seized.

On December 23 one mini moto was taken by police and details were shared on social media about what will happen to it.

Bournemouth Echo:

A spokesperson for Poole Police said: “Poole neighbourhood policing team officer Pete posted yesterday (December 22) about our commitment to rid our streets of these annoying little machines, which do not belong on the road.

“This one will like others be crushed like a tin can. You could call me the Christmas Grinch but definitely didn't steal this rider’s Christmas.”
