A FREE concert featuring singalong carols and entertainment is coming to Bournemouth Pavillion Theatre next week.
The annual Christmas Cracker concert, which celebrates the festive season and showcases the theatre’s Compton Organ, will be free to attend on Monday, December 19 at 2pm.
First staged in 2002, the concert will feature Michael Wooldridge, local musician Ian Carter at the Steinway Grand Piano and members of the Big Little Theatre School Choir.
Christmas Cracker organiser Christian Knighton said: “The Christmas Cracker has always been one of my favourite events.
“As well as coming together to celebrate the festive season, it’s a really lovely opportunity for everyone to see and hear this fantastic organ which has been part of Bournemouth Pavilion’s history and heritage since it was first installed in 1929.”
Optional donations will be accepted for the Pavilion’s Compton Organ Fund to maintain the historical instrument.
Councillor Jane Kelly, BCP Council’s portfolio holder for leisure, health and communities, added: “I’m really pleased to hear that the Christmas Cracker event will be staged again.
“The Pavilion Theatre is loved by so many of our residents and visitors and this showcase of the Compton Organ alongside Carol singing is absolutely in the hearts of many.”
