CHRISTMAS is fast approaching with numerous events happening all over Dorset to get you in the festive spirit.

If it just isn’t Christmas without a carol service, then you’re in luck.

A host of services will be held across the area over the coming days.

Here is just a selection of some of them events you will be able to attend.

1. Join the Prama team for an afternoon of carols and mince pies at St Nicholas Church in Wareham Road, Corfe Mullen, on Thursday, December 15, at 2.30pm.

2. Everyone is welcome to join the church community of St Katharine's in Southbourne for their annual Festival Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 18, at 4pm.

The service will include traditional congregational Christmas carols, choral anthems sung by the choir, interspersed with readings from scripture, telling the Christmas story. After the service, seasonal refreshments will be provided in the Parish Centre.

3. The Annual Shoppers Carol Service will take place this year in The Minster Church at Wimborne on Saturday, December 17 at 11am. It will last for half an hour and will be led by the Curate, The Reverend Nick Wells. 

Then on Sunday, December 18, the traditional Carols by Candlelight Service will take place in The Minster at 6.30pm.

4. Ferndown Christmas Carol Service will be held at St Mary's Church in Church Road on Thursday, December 15, at 7pm.

Atendees are asked to be seacted by 6.50pm. Festive refreshments will be served after the service. 

5. St James' Church in Church Street, Poole, will host its Candlelight Carol Service on Sunday, December 18, at 6.30pm. Everyone is wecome to attend.
