A MAN has been arrested in relation to a series of thefts from vehicles in the Charminster and Winton area.

The man was arrested by Bournemouth Patrol D squad on Wednesday evening, December 7, following a string of thefts which had been occurring over the past few months.

A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “We have located and arrested a local male for a series of these thefts and other court related matters.

“This male has eluded capture despite the relentless pursuit by the local Policing teams as well as the BCP NET team.

“We will make every possible effort to ensure a successful prosecution thanks to the evidence and CCTV footage submitted by the public.”

The spokesperson said there has been a series of plain clothes patrols, unmarked vehicles and high visibility patrols.

They added: “The area is identified by the reports made by yourselves so please ensure you always report crime that occurs.”
