A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Boscombe early this morning.

Police were called to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a Peugeot in Christchurch Road at 12.47am on Monday, December 5. 

Officers attended along with the ambulance service.

The woman's injuries are not believed to be serious. 

The road was closed for around two hours following the incident.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Report received at 12.47am of a single vehicle collision in Christchurch Road outside Mello Mello Bar.

“Officers attended with the ambulance service and the road was closed.

"A female pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be serious.

“The road reopened at around 2.40am.”

The spokesperson said enquiries into the crash remain ongoing.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 00.45hrs to an incident in Boscombe.

"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, and an operations officer. We conveyed one patient to Poole Hospital.”
