A PIECE of plant machinery worth £46,000 that was stolen in Dorset has been recovered in Chesire.

The Herbst Agri Crusher was located on Friday, December 2, at an address in the Northwich area.

It came after an investigation was launched by Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team following enquiries related to an ongoing investigation.

Dorset Police Rural Crime Team worked alongside their counterparts in Cheshire.

Police Constable Sebastian Haggett, of the Dorset Rural Crime Team, said: “We will continue to work collaboratively with other police forces in order to identify those responsible for these thefts.

"This type of equipment is integral to rural businesses and farms and when it is stolen it can have a large impact.

Dorset Police will continue to tackle rural acquisitive crime and support our rural communities.

"I would continue to urge anyone with information to help our enquiries to please get in touch.”
