A POOLE pub due to reopen its doors today will remain closed until further notice due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

The Rope & Anchor in Sarum Street was due to reopen its doors today at 12pm under new management.

In a post on Facebook on Friday, December 2, the Rope & Anchor said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances there is a delay in opening - we will keep you posted with any news, as it stands we will not be open until further notice. Apologies.”

It comes after a post on social media four days ago, in which the Rope & Anchor shared news of its reopening.

It said: “The Rope and Anchor is open for business as of Saturday 3rd December at 12 noon under new management.

"We are looking to open the kitchen as soon as possible bringing back a great Sunday roast.

“We are also changing some brands on the bar bringing you back Fosters and also a newcomer of Camden Pale Ale.

“We will also be bringing live music back for everyone to enjoy.

“Stephen and the team are looking forward to welcoming you at The Rope and Anchor in due course.”
