A FAULT on a train is causing major disruption for rail passengers heading to Bournemouth this morning.
The fault has occurred in the Sway area and the line towards Bournemouth is currently blocked.
Disruption was originally expected until 12pm today but this has now changed to 3pm.
Services may be cancelled, delayed or revised as a result.

As investigations are ongoing this may change but we will update you if it does.
Posting on its website, South Western Railway said: “We have been informed that a train has developed a fault in the Sway area. This means that the line towards Bournemouth is currently blocked.
“The train crew are in contact with our fleet maintenance team who are investigating and working towards fixing the fault.
“For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
