Details on the cases of seven people which have recently been dealt with at Poole Magistrates' Court.

BOURNEMOUTH

ALEX ERNEST SAMUEL BARTON, aged 30 and of Eamont Mews, Penrith, convicted of damaging property belonging to Avalon Estates in Bournemouth on May 5, 2020. Community order made, whereby the defendant must follow an overnight curfew Mondays to Fridays for three weeks. Also convicted of possessing a small quantity of cannabis and cannabis resin in Bournemouth on May 5, 2020. No separate penalty. Cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed by police. Also admits using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress, thereby, and the offence was racially aggravated in Bournemouth on May 5, 2020. Fined £132. To pay £34 surcharge and £150 costs. Also convicted of failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court on June 17, 2021, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on March 25, 2021. Community order made. Also conviction of a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order for a period of six months imposed on March 31, 2020, for possession of cannabis and cannabis resin. No separate penalty.

AMBER REBECCA HOWELL, aged 24 and of Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, admits driving a white Citroen C1 saloon car in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on November 11 with 89 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Fined £400. To pay £160 surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 22 months.

TERRY LEWIS, aged 40 and of Manor Avenue, Bournemouth, admits failing to comply with a community requirements of a suspended sentence order made on April 27 by failing to attend at Poole Probation Office for planned appointments on June 21, August 9 and August 16. Suspended sentence of imprisonment of 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, implemented in full.

IMAD MARSOU MARSO, aged 39 and of Craigmoor Avenue, admits driving a Volkswagen in Wareham Road, Corfe Mullen, on August 7, 2021, at a speed exceeding 30mph, namely 43mph. Fined £138. To pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with four points.

DAVID JAMES MOORE, aged 38 and of Iford Lane, Bournemouth, convicted of when suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen or specimens of breath for analysis in the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, failing to do so in Paddington Grove, Bournemouth, on August 28, 2021. Fined £240. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 months. Also admits failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court on December 3, 2021, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on September 15, 2021. Fined £25. Also admits failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court on October 18, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on June 24. Fined £25.

JONATHAN ALEXANDER JAMES MORAN, aged 43 and of Cheddington Close, Canford Heath, admits assaulting a man by beating him in Poole on September 23. Community order made, whereby the defendant must have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months and take part in up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. To pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs. Also admits damaged property belonging to a man in Poole on September 23. Community order made. To pay £100 compensation. Also admits assaulting a man in Poole on September 23. Community order made. Restraining order made, which lasts until November 24, 2023.

JAMES ABOUGA SOULSBY, aged 29 and of Dear Hay Lane, Poole, admits assaulting a man by beating him in North Street, Poole, on January 17. Community order made, whereby the defendant must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. To pay £358 compensation.
