A SUSPECTED cannabis factory has been discovered at an address in an east Dorset village.

Dorset Police was called at 10.44am on Friday, November 25, to a report of a possible cannabis factory at an address in Church Road, Three Legged Cross.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the property and evidence of suspected drug cultivation was located.

A large quantity of what is believed to be cannabis was seized. Officers carried out enquiries at the scene and the premises was cleared on Monday, November 28, after three days of investigating.

A local man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B, abstracting electricity without authority and being concerned in the use or control of criminal property.

He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
