A TECH company which has doubled in size and seen revenue grow by more than 750 per cent is expecting to hire more people next year.

Wimborne-based Talk Think Do, which specialises in bespoke cloud software, recently marked its eighth anniversary.

It has 26 specialist engineers and says it plans to create more jobs for tech and IT professionals, with a goal of having 75 staff.

Revenue has grown from £267,000 in 2018 to £2.3million this year.

The business was founded in 2014 by solution architect Matt Hammond and provides cloud-native applications for business. It has worked with businesses including Explore Learning, Livestock Information and the Third Space Group.

Mr Hammond said: “Before I founded Talk Think Do, I worked with several large businesses to deliver architectural solutions. I struggled to find teams that had the technical knowhow and skills to deliver the standard of product I required.

"That is where I identified a gap in the tech solutions market and where Talk Think Do was born from. Our team is our strongest asset, and we plan to put Dorset on the map as a leading hub for the technology industry.

“Eight years on, I am proud that we continue to make ongoing investments into our team’s engineering skills. This allows us to build the highest quality, unique software solutions to fit our client’s specific needs. This year, we are forecasted to hit £3.9m in revenue and that achievement in less than 10 years is thanks to the commitment and focus of the entire team.”

Talk Think Do became a Crown Commercial Service supplier in 2017, giving the team access to a portfolio of public sector work, including Livestock Information Limited, a subsidiary of the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

The firm also earned Microsoft Gold Partner status in 2020 having earned the highest standards of Microsoft’s partnership programme. The company became ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus accredited and a GitHub Technology Partner in 2022.

Last month, the team celebrated being awarded a place on the UK Government’s latest G-Cloud 13 framework, an online catalogue where public sector customers can buy cloud-based computing services such as hosting, software, and cloud support.

Mr Hammond said: “While we are all incredibly proud of our success to date, we aren’t stopping there and have several plans and projects in the pipeline.

"We are on a trajectory and growth plan to scale our team to 75 employees, work towards £7.5m in revenue, and launch our new product CodeNative by 2025.

"CodeNative is a game-changing cloud-native technology which enables customers to effectively generate bespoke enterprise-level mission critical software, and we are looking forward to bringing it to market.”
