THREE men entered a property on Frost Road with a knife and assaulted a man causing head injuries. Two of the men then allegedly attempted to steal a car.

Detectives investigating the alleged aggravated burglary in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police was called at around 8.30am on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 to a report of a disturbance at an address in Frost Road.

It is reported that three male offenders entered a property while in possession of a knife and assaulted a man, who sustained injuries to his head.

A short while later two men – who are suspected to be involved in the alleged aggravated burglary – reportedly attempted to steal a vehicle in Nutley Way. A member of the public assisted the driver of the vehicle and the men ran off in the direction of Turbary Park Avenue.

Officers attended, with the ambulance service, and carried out searches of the area in a bid to locate those suspected to be involved.

Following enquiries, a 22-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been released on police bail while further enquiries are conducted.

A 29-year-old man of no fixed abode has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Detectives are carrying out an investigation into what happened and a cordon was in place while enquiries were carried out at the scene.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or has information about the whereabouts of those involved, to please come forward.

“Additionally, I am interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage that covers the area of both Frost Road and Nutley Way at the relevant time.”
