Dorset has seen two of its pubs named among the best places to get a Sunday roast in England, according to Muddy Stilettos.

The woman's lifestyle website has listed 68 of the best places around the country, with each county getting some representation.

On their web page for the list, Muddy Stilettos wrote: "Why bother basting potatoes with goose fat when this lot do it so much better? Grab your gang and head to one of these gorgeous gastropubs across the Muddy counties."

Dorset's representatives on the list are The Canford in Poole and The King's Arms in Dorchester.

The Canford

Discussing The Canford Muddy Stilettos wrote: "Renowned for their Sunday roasts – Angus beef rump, pork loin, chicken, butternut squash and chickpea, with double-yoked Yorkies and all the trimmings – to be enjoyed in the conservatory restaurant or outside in one of their private beach or Tiki huts (nice)."

On Tripadvisor, it has a rating of 4/5 from 679 reviews, which can be seen on the website here.

The King's Arms

Discussing The King's Arms, Muddy Stilettos praised several of its dishes including the rare roasted sirloin and slow-roasted brisket.
