A MAN has been banned from attending any Leicester City football match for two years after throwing a vape during a match at Vitality Stadium.
Damon Alexander, aged 34, was in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on November 18 in relation to an incident at AFC Bournemouth’s home ground on October 8.
Cherries hosted Leicester in a Premier League match on that day, claiming a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Philip Billing and Ryan Christie.
Alexander, whose address was given as Roman Close, Barrow Upon Soar, was charged with two counts of throwing a vape at or towards an area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators were not generally admitted.
The defendant was fined £230 and ordered to pay a £92 surcharge and £85 costs after pleading guilty to both offences.
A deputy district judge ordered that a two-year football banning order be made. It specified that Alexander could not attend Leicester City matches or any other Premier League match, but no ban applied to matches outside the UK.
