AN 89-year-old caravan affectionately known as Lady Eccles is looking for a new home.
Lady Eccles, a vintage caravan "full of old charm", will be up for auction at the Charterhouse in Sherborne next month.
The caravan was born in 1933 as an Eccles Model 35, and her first owner was Sir Rouse Boughton who bought her from The London Caravan Company in Bond Street.
Now, and following the death of her most recent owner, Lady Eccles is ready for a new home.
Estimated at £4,000-5,000, she will make the ideal companion to be towed behind a vintage car for touring, or to be used as a quirky Airbnb type rental.
Richard Bromell of the Charterhouse said: “What a great looking vintage caravan, full of old charm and she even has lead lattice windows for that quaint English country cottage on wheels look.
“Sadly, the owner passed away recently and now she is looking to be rehomed.”
Lady Eccles will go under the Charterhouse hammer on Friday, December 2 at the Long Street Salerooms in Sherborne.
She will form part of a three-day auction of model trains, coins, medals, stamps, watches, silver, jewellery, antiques and interiors.
