IN RESPONSE to the letter regarding the winter closure of the popular Fox Cafe in Redhill Park from Linda Harrold, I would like to invite her and her friends to the Garden Room at Ensbury Park Library in Columbia Road as an alternative venue.

This recently opened room funded jointly by BCP , Talbot Village Trust and Enpals Charity will be hosting a fortnightly drop in starting in January 2023.

We will be able to offer a warm space with light refreshments and a warm welcome from the volunteer staff.

The exact start date for this is still to be confirmed but it is expected to start on the second week in January on a Thursday afternoon – more information and contact details can be found on the Ensbury Park Library and Enpals Facebook page.

Further activities making use of this community room are being planned including afterschool and holiday clubs for young people as well as acting as a community hub for all age groups.

Ensbury Park Library already hosts a book club, knitting club and a weekly toddlers times activity – and you can even borrow books or use a computer as well.

The inaugural event for the Garden Room will be a Christmas party on Tuesday 20th December from 5pm to 7pm where mince pies, tea/coffees will be served together with adult and junior bingo and a Christmas raffle with prizes for young and old – it is even possible that Santa might pay us a visit!

Contact the library on 01202 127500 or email enpals2016@gmail.com for more information.
